The other difference is the prep involved—pressure washing requires very little preparation and can be started pretty much right away, while soft washing involves first treating the target surface with a specialized cleaning solution to loosen the dirt.
In general, we recommend soft washing for any surface that could be damaged by high-pressure water, such as shingle roofs, wood siding, and more, but there are situations in which pressure washing is the best option.
